title : Energy and Nutritient Composition
Using the HPB's Energy and Nutritient Composition of foods tool, I compared my meals (breakfast, lunch) excluding snacks of all the three days.

Breakfast (Day 1 and Day 3)

I did not eat breakfast on Day 2 as I woke up near noon. From this breakfast analysis, I can see that in both foods, there are both good and bad nutrients. But for me, I would think the vegetarian fried beehoon is healthier than the Nasi Lemak. Although Nasi Lemak provides more energy, protein, dietary fibre and less sodium with no sugar, it contains a whopping amount of 76mg of cholestrol compared to the beehoon which has 0 mg of cholesterol. Although cholesterol is important and necessary for mammals, high levels of cholesterol in the blood can damage arteries and are potentially linked to diseases such as those associated with the cardiovascular system. Thus it is better to eat food with less cholesterol. Also, vegetarian fried beehoon provides less fats(and saturated fats) and carbohydrates compared to Nasi Lemak.

Lunch

From this lunch analysis, I personally think that the rice dumpling is healthier. Although the rice dumpling contains less energy, protein, dietary fibre and more carbohydrates, it has less fat(and saturated fat), less cholesterol and so much less sodium with no sugar. The 2010 dietary guidelines of the United States Department of Agriculture(USDA) recommend to decrease the sodium consumption to less than 2.3g(2300mg) per day. Just one bowl of wanton noodles for lunch and you have taken in more than half of the amount of sodium you should be taking each day. Thus, I can deduce that the rice dumpling is healthier than the wanton noodles.
